Pilgrim and Indian

 Rylee and Lainey had a feast at preschool today and came home with traditional headpieces:

 If the original Pilgrims and Indians loved each other like these two BFFs do, it's no wonder we have Thanksgiving (:

 Rylee preferred the Pilgrim hat and Lainey the Indian headdress, but I coaxed Rylee into sporting her feathers for a bit

 so I could document their "Indian Names."

Little Bugs

 Rylee began her second year of preschool a few weeks ago, and is loving it so far! We switched schools this year to Little Bugs Preschool. These are pictures from the first day. Rylee isn't normally into posing for pictures, but she sure was that day - all kinds of poses!

Lainey switched preschools with Rylee - thank goodness, because I'm not sure I'd ever get Rylee there by 9am if Casey weren't running the morning leg of carpool!

 Jack has started kindergarten this year, but his class begins after preschool each day; he LOVES the train table!

 After the first day of class we ate Carls Jr.

 And apparently our first day of photoshoots wasn't enough, because Rylee wanted to take pictures before the second day too. She did, in fact, bring a backpack this time.

 I believe that this was the morning that Jack exclaimed as Rylee climbed into their car "Wow, Rylee, you look GOOD today!" Check her and her hot stuff out!

Quite the character, that Miss Rylee Skye.

The Classes of 2011

Colin and Cassie graduated from High School in June. I thought it was so cool that they got to choose who they walked with - I've only ever heard of walking alphabetically!

After the ceremony we had a little Graduation Party at our house

combined with a little party for Ava, since graduation fell on her birthday.

Two days later, we went to Rylee's preschool (un)graduation ceremony...she still has another year of preschool, but all the kids got to participate in the ceremony.

Rylee, Lainey and Jack are such goofs! So glad that they were in the same class and that we've become such good friends.

Rylee also loved Xavier. On the days she wasn't telling us she's going to marry Jack, she was telling us she's going to marry Xavier. Those three had quite the dramatic love triangle going on this year!

After the ceremony there was a carnival with popcornand face painting. Cailyn watched very intently.

After all the watching, Cailyn finally got her turn to get her face painted. Her expressions cracked me up!

She chose a green dragon.

And then a green star.

And then a purple flower.

She had a little meltdown when I told her three things was enough.

In 3.5 weeks, this silly butterfly will be heading back to preschool, but at a new school.

She'll be going to "Little Bugs" preschool with Lainey three days a week. Jack is moving on to kindergarten, so the trio will be split up, but I'm glad that the girls will still be together. And glad that Casey and I will still be able to carpool. Especially since class will start at 9AM, and I'm pretty sure that if it were up to me to get her there on time it would never happen. It will be interesting to see if we can adjust this night owl's sleep schedule!
