Flower Fields

I took this picture in December 2007, when Rylee was about 11 months old. We blew it up and have it framed in our living room, and I love it. I decided that I want to have a similar picture of each of my kids - when they are about one, looking into some beautiful part of nature. So, since we went down to Oceanside this last weekend for a meeting I had, I called my very talented friend, Stefanie (check out her website at http://www.joiedevivrephotography.com/) and had her take some pictures at the Carlsbad Flower Fields. Cailyn LOVES flowers, and the pictures turned out beautiful! The following picture is the one of Cailyn that I will blow up to match the ocean one of Rylee - the only problem is that now I think I'm going to have to get Stef to photoshop the one of Rylee so that the colors are more vibrant and get it re-printed!
And here are some of my other favorites. Enjoy!

When we're not unpacking...

...we like to fly our Tinkerbell kite at sunset...
...we make messes and (sometimes) clean them up...
...we play in the playroom...
...we water our flowers...
...we hide in our favorite hiding spot...
...we giggle...
...we read...
...and try hats on...
...we play at the fabulous park by our house...
...we have picnics at the beach...
...and play at the beach...
...and turn into mermaids...
...and turn mommy into a mermaid...
...and chase the seagulls...
...and, if we have any energy to spare, we sing and dance...

Muffin Tops

Yesterday we went to Trader Joe's (another thing I love about California living!)
Rylee pushed around her own mini shopping cart and loaded it up with things that tickled her fancy, including a cantaloupe, a small bouquet of red tulips, and a box of mini blueberry muffins.
All day long, she ate muffins. Then, in the evening, I found this on her little red table:I started laughing and called Rylee over. I said, "Rylee, look how many muffins you have here! There are four muffins that you haven't finished!"
To which Rylee exclaimed "Oh, I need more muffins?"
I started laughing even harder, and Rylee rushed into the kitchen to find the muffin box.
